What data we collect
When you use Wait or Pay, we collect:
- Your full postcode (e.g. CM3 4DD) to find your nearest providers and NHS data
- Your condition and treatment stage to personalise your results
- Your email address and name if you purchase a Action Plan
- Payment information — processed securely by Stripe, never stored by us
How we use your data
- To generate your personalised NHS waiting time results
- To deliver your Action Plan by email after purchase
- To send follow-up emails about your Action Plan (you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To improve our service using anonymised, aggregated usage data
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
Legal basis for processing
We process your data under the following legal bases (UK GDPR):
- Contract — processing necessary to deliver the Action Plan you purchased
- Legitimate interests — improving our service and preventing fraud
- Consent — for any marketing emails beyond Action Plan delivery
Third parties
We share data with the following trusted services to operate Wait or Pay:
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/gb/privacy)
- Supabase — secure database storage (supabase.com/privacy)
- Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/privacy)
- Vercel — website hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
- Plausible Analytics — cookieless website analytics; collects no personal data (plausible.io/data-policy)
Data retention
We retain purchase records for 7 years for tax and legal compliance. Intake data (postcode, condition, stage) is retained for 12 months then deleted. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@waitorpay.co.uk.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, object to processing, and data portability. To exercise any right, email hello@waitorpay.co.uk. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
